Stoke boss Pulis hits out at foreign owners' sacking policy

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has hit out at foreign club owners over their sacking policy.

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright and Stoke's Peter Coates have both backed their bosses. And that faith is paying off with Everton in fourth spot and Stoke three points outside the top six.

Pulis said: "There's a lot of chairmen who have different cultures than our two and have been brought up in a different way. It works in the countries they've come from and that's the way they do it.

"But English chairmen do it a different way and see the value of forward thinking. I've been very fortunate and David will say he's very fortunate that Bill has allowed him to manage the way he wants to manage.

"He's had his moments there and Bill has always stuck behind him."
