Stoke City boss Tony Pulis feels Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher has proved the signing of the season.
Pulis toyed with the idea of signing Fletcher from Wolves in the summer.
He said: "I'm not surprised Fletcher has been a success. But they paid a lot of money and it raised a few eyebrows.
"He's certainly given them a good return though. He might be one of the bargains of the season.
"Fletcher's in a team with two wingers that'll get crosses into the box, that was the same at Wolves.
"He's good in the box, takes good positions. He's always on the move and his scoring record is first class."
