Stoke City boss Tony Pulis feels "vindicated" over Chelsea signing Demba Ba.
Pulis wanted to snap up the Senegalese striker from Hoffenheim in 2011 after discovering his extraordinary potential.
But Ba failed a medical and joined West Ham instead in a £7.1m deal.
Pulis said: "He's a top, top player. He has gone his way and we have gone ours. He has had a great career and we've done brilliantly as well.
"We saw enormous potential in him and that has been vindicated. He has everything."
