Stoke City boss Tony Pulis believes the shock results will continue in the second-half of the season.
The Potters pulled off an excellent Boxing Day victory over a Blackburn Rovers side with a formidable home record, but then lost to a Fulham side with a poor away record.
"That really shows how unpredictable the League is this season," said Pulis. "Apart from possibly the top five clubs, anyone is capable of beating anyone.
"Our season has certainly had its ups and its downs, and it's highly likely that the trend will continue, especially when you look at some of the sides in the bottom half of the table.
"Fulham are one of the sides who have the quality to be in a much higher position and I am sure it won't be long before our next opponents Everton are climbing into the top half. It's likely they will do what they have done before and have a good run to the end of the season."
