Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is expecting an exciting summer market.
Manchester United and Liverpool have already signed England Under-21 internationals Phil Jones and Jordan Henderson for fees in excess of £16million.
Pulis does not believe that will be the end of heavy investment by those at the top end of the table and says sides like his will feel the ripple effect.
"It's going to be an active market and an expensive market this year," he told BBC Radio Stoke.
"The top six clubs are all looking to spend. That always filters through.
"Sunderland have sold big, Blackburn have sold big and there will be other clubs who will have a little bit of money in their pockets to go out and buy players.
"I expect it to be a very difficult market but a market where there will be a lot of movement."
