Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is delighted with their capture of Tottenham midfielder Wilson Palacios.
Palacios makes his full debut in a tricky-looking Europa League group game with Dinamo Kiev in the Ukraine on Thursday after recovering from a knee injury.
"Wilson has got a good chance of starting," said Pulis. "He has experience of European football. We will need that experience.
"With Wilson, it's just about managing his fitness because he had an injury and taking it step by step.
"He's had a long time out, so we need to go steady with him and give him a little bit of time.
"He's a terrific player and the lads have taken to him straight away. He's got a great sense of humour and he's another one who, as the season progresses, will get stronger.
"He's got that commitment and desire, and he's a good footballer as well."
