Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has dismissed talk of a bid from Bayern Munich for goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen.

Pulis told The Sentinel: "Those reports are a load of nonsense as far as I'm concerned. We are playing in the greatest league in the world and you'd have to ask why Thomas would want to move out of it at this stage. He's more than happy here as far as I'm aware.

"He had a great first season for us last year and I have to say how much I was impressed by his stature about the place. His experience and calibre was just what we needed as we stepped into the big time."
