Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is happy to allow Andrew Davies to join Middlesbrough on-loan.
Davies signed with Boro last Friday.
The 26-year-old defender has appeared just four times in nearly three seasons at the Britannia since his near £2m move from Southampton in August 2008.
City boss Pulis said: "It's been a frustrating time for the lad, so hopefully going back to Middlesbrough will help him get back on track."
