Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is eager to secure Dean Whitehead to a new contract.

Pulis acknowledges that and would like to see the 31-year-old commit his future to the club, with Whitehead's current deal set to expire in the summer.

"He is one of those that the closer we get to the end of the season we will hopefully discuss things," Pulis told The Sentinel.
