Stoke City boss Tony Pulis expects Ryan Shawcross to soon pen his new six-year contract.

He believes Shawcross is also close to signing a six-year contract after more talks yesterday.

Pulis said: "Unless they are waiting until Christmas is over and do it then, I should imagine they'll be pretty close."
