Stoke City boss Tony Pulis cannot believe the moaning from players about their Christmas schedule.
Most Premier League clubs face four games in 11 days between Boxing Day and January 5 when many pros want a mid-winter break.
But Pulis thinks that is ridiculous and Stoke stars who earn upwards of £10,000 a week can deal with watching what they eat and not drinking alcohol over the holidays.
He said: "I love Christmas - I really enjoy it, the games and everything.
"People say I'm old fashioned, but I prefer to call it traditional!
"I've always thought playing games and people going to watch was a great thing to do for all concerned. We're in the entertainment business. People are off work and they love it."
Pulis is mindful that fans shell out their hard-earned cash to be at games.
He added: "Players are pampered in many ways.
"You hear some of them moaning about playing three games in a week or whatever.
"But if they can't manage that then we should close it all down, lock it all up and go and do something else."
