Stoke City boss Tony Pulis admits West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce convinced him about signing Steven Nzonzi.

Allardyce brought Nzonzi across from France when in charge of Blackburn Rovers.

Pulis said: "Sam was glowing in his report.

"The kid's been a great signing.

"We'd been looking at him for 18 months and were blocked but luckily things changed."
