Stoke City boss Tony Pulis admits he owes a lot in his career to Tottenham counterpart Harry Redknapp.
It was destiny Pulis would fare better as a manager, having got his full FA coaching badge aged 19, quickly followed by his UEFA A licence. It was Harry Redknapp who spotted Pulis' managerial potential.
He made Pulis player-coach at Bournemouth and then his assistant - before the Welshman landed the Cherries job when his pal went to West Ham in 1992. He said: "I owe Harry a lot for that.
"He's a good friend and top manager."
