Stoke boss Pulis admits battle to find right signings for his squad

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis admits it's a battle finding the right new signings that fit into his squad.

Pulis, who has already made moves to sign Wilson Palacios and Peter Crouch from Tottenham, is keen to improve his team although only with the right kind of player.

He said: "We need to get some players in, it's very important that we get four or five players in, in the next two weeks and we need a bit of quality but the important thing is we need them to have the same spirit that surrounds this football club.

"The same spirit we had from the terraces with five minutes to go, the same spirit that saw Jermaine Pennant and [Danny] Pugh coming on and winning challenges when they had no right to. That's the spirit you need.

"You need everybody to be in that group and everybody knowing that that group is going to work for them, it's very difficult finding players that you want with that quality and that attitude without spending decent money but that's what we're trying to do. "
