Stoke City boss Tony Pulis was delighted with his new-look midfield for their 1-1 draw against Manchester City.

Steven N'Zonzi and Charlie Adam went blow-for-blow with City's stars on Saturday.

Pulis beamed: "We're trying to bring in better quality players, but they still have to work as hard as the other lads because the club has built its success on team spirit and togetherness. In that respect, Charlie Adam and Steve N'Zonzi fitted in well."
