Stoke City are sweating on the results of Mame Diouf's latest round of tests.
The Senegalese utility injured his shoulder and collarbone after landing awkwardly in Saturday's 0-0 draw with Southampton.
Diouf has subsequently undergone numerous tests to determine the prognosis of his injury.
Potters boss Paul Lambert has started Diouf in five out of his six matches in charge.
All of these starts have been in attack, where the 30-year-old prefers to play, rather than at wing-back, which is where Mark Hughes preferred to play him near the end of his tenure.
