Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is coy over keeping hold of Thomas Sorensen.

But he didn't rule out a new deal for the 37 year-old goalkeeper.

"Thomas is a very valued member of the squad here," he stated. "His situation is one that will be reviewed at the correct time.

"At the moment it isn't one we have looked at, but Thomas is an exceptional goalkeeper and I imagine if you allowed a keeper of Thomas' ability to go you would have to make sure the reasons you allowed him to leave are valid, and I can't imagine those."
