Stoke City boss Mark Hughes won't rule out Peter Odemwingie receiving a new contract offer.
Hughes says the club will be happy to sit down and discuss a new contract with Odemwingie once he has proved his recovery from a long-term cruciate knee ligament injury.
The 33 year-old winger is out of contract in the summer and Hughes observed: "Peter is still doing rehabilitation and progressing well.
"He's probably at a critical stage of his recovery and needs to work hard to come back at the right level. When he does, that's when we will discuss it (a new contract) and he understands that.
"The way he is progressing would lead me to believe he will be back stronger."
