Stoke City boss Mark Hughes isn't ready to offload Charlie Adam.
The midfielder is a target for Premier League new boys Burnley.
But The Sentinel says Hughes continues to value Adam, both on and off the pitch, and is reluctant to lose someone of his character and experience from the current make-up of his senior squad.
Stoke's patchy end to last season, which included the loss of four goals in three straight games, reinforced the club's belief that the current squad could be over balanced towards purely creative players.
