Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is unsure of their chances of signing Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon.
Hughes was speaking after victory over QPR.
He said Lennon "has been mentioned" with regard to potential Stoke dealings, but added: "I don't think that one is going to happen for us."
And he said: "I don't anticipate there being too much happening to be honest.
"We have been close to a number of players during the month, but for the most part they have all fallen by the wayside.
"At this point, I'd be surprised if we do anything before the deadline."
