Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has urged Xherdan Shaqiri not to give up on his Premier League career.
Hughes wants Shaqiri to use the club's run-in to prove himself as one of Europe's best playmakers.
"It's been stop-start," said Hughes. “It's been a shame really because there was a period around the Hull game when he was playing and scoring, where we really felt he was getting into a run of form which would allow him to really have an impact this year.
“But it's been a stuttering season held back by the problems he's had with injuries, predominantly his calf injuries.
“He's a good player, he effects games, and that's what we've missed on occasions."
