Stoke City chairman Peter Coates has handed under-pressure manager Mark Hughes a vote of confidence.
Stoke have made a terrible start to their Premier League campaign so far and the recent 4-1 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace means that the Potters are currently languishing in 20th place in the Premier League table.
As a result of the poor run of form, Hughes has come under fire but Coates is not thinking about making any changes as of yet and has backed the Welshman to turn things around in the coming weeks.
Coates said: "He's our manager and he's got our support.
"We are obviously disappointed with the start we've made but we've only played five games. Mark has been around the block: we've finished ninth three times and that tells you he's got experience, and he knows what it takes to get results in the Premier League.
"He's been a manager for some time and he's got two experienced coaches [Mark Bowen and Eddie Niedzwiecki] alongside him. While these results obviously can't go on forever, we're convinced that things will change."
