Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has put Jack Butland on alert for the weekend.
Despite Stoke conceding eight goals against Newcastle and Tottenham, Hughes will resist giving Butland his league debut against Everton today.
Hughes said: "I'll probably give Jack a game against Leicester in the FA Cup at the weekend.
"It's important I have a look at him. I would like to see him first hand in the cup game.
"I've been lucky with the keepers I have. Asmir is outstanding, but Thomas has come in and done a good job.
"The World Cup does not come into my thinking. My thinking is purely about Jack's development and his progress here."
