Stoke City boss Mark Hughes admits he's likely to be active in the January market.
The Potters fell 4-0 to Everton on Saturday.
Although the Welshman admits he hates going shopping in the New Year sales, he said: "I think we have to invest and improve the first team.
"Those type of players might not be available in January.
"We have got targets in mind and we will see if we can bring them to the club. If we do that, it will help us.
"We will try to address the weaknesses and add to the strengths we have."
