Stoke City boss Mark Hughes praised Saido Berahino after their 0-0 draw with West Ham.
Berahino, starting his eighth successive game for the club, was foiled by a close-range block at the near post by Winston Reid early in today's 0-0 draw with West Ham.
"Saido is a player who works off the shoulder," said Hughes, "and the space in behind was at a premium today, so it was difficult for him in fairness.
"But he's done fine. He's in good nick physically and dropped about five-and-a-half kilos.
"Next year will be when we need to judge Saido."
