Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is confident keeping hold of skipper Ryan Shawcross.

The defender has been linked with a big club move away.

But Hughes is confident he can further his international career at the Britannia Stadium.

"He's had opportunities while being a Stoke player so it shows that's not an issue," said Hughes. "If you're playing well enough, you should get an opportunity."
