Stoke City boss Mark Hughes says Jese Rodriguez has elite qualities.

The PSG winger recently signed a season-long loan deal with the Potters.

Rodriguez moved to Paris from Real Madrid for 21m just last summer. During his time with Los Blancos, he won two Champions League titles, and Hughes believes that experience will be beneficial to his squad.

"The top and bottom of it is that he's an elite player," Hughes told Stoke City+

"When you get the opportunity to bring one of those level of players to your club you have to try and pursue it to its conclusion."

"You won't get many of them over the line.

"I think everybody will see within minutes of him being on the field that he is a high-level player and one that we will benefit from."
