Stoke City boss Mark Hughes laughed off Jose Mourinho's handshake snub after their 2-2 draw with Manchester United.

Hughes pushed Mourinho towards the end of the game and then Mourinho snubbed Hughes when he tried to shake his hand at the final whistle.

“I pushed him because he was in my technical area," Hughes admitted. “Maybe that's why he didn't want to shake my hand."

Hughes was told that Mourinho had earlier denied that was the reason, leaving Hughes to continue: “Maybe it's because it could be viewed as a negative result for him.

“Coming to Stoke City when everybody expected them to beat us is a negative."
