Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has revealed plans to send goalkeeper Jakob Haugaard out on loan next season.
Haugaard was forced to return early from Wigan because of injury.
“Because of injuries and what happened towards the end of last season," said Hughes, “he got game time in the first team here a little bit too soon for him. That was never the plan so early in his career here.
“It was about getting him out on loan, a little bit like we did with Jack early in his career here. He got good loans with good clubs and built his confidence as a keeper. We still have that intent with Jakob. If he can get the right club, we'll push him out again."
