Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is in a battle with predecessor Tony Pulis to finish above Crystal Palace this season.

Hughes was gracious enough to acknowledge the work being done by Pulis at Palace.

"Obviously Tony has had a great run, but we haven't done bad ourselves," he reasoned.

"Crystal Palace have had a remarkable run and we are still above them because we've had a great run ourselves."
