Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is delighted counting on Jack Butland this season.

Hughes allowed Asmir Begovic to join Chelsea last summer because of his confidence in 22-year-old Butland's ability.

He said: "He has bided his time and we have been able to give him the opportunity to be a No 1, which all young keepers want.

"He has gained international recognition here. It's not as if he has to go to another club for that so there is no reason for him to move."
