Stoke City boss Mark Hughes was pleased with Bojan Krkic's debut in defeat to Aston Villa.

Hughes is confident over his future prospects.

"I thought he showed glimpses in certain situations of his quality," said the Stoke boss.

"In this early period we will have to make sure he plays in the right games against the right opposition and get the best out of him."
