Stoke City boss Mark Hughes was delighted with Marko Arnautovic for victory over Crystal Palace.
Hughes swapped Arnautovic back to his favoured left wing in the second half of today's victory - and was quickly reminded of that by the Austrian after the game.
Hughes saw Arnautovic produce a fine diagonal ball from out on the left in the 67th minute for Ramadan Sobhi to set up Joe Allen for the day's only goal.
"I thought Palace at times would sit in," Hughes said, "and I felt we needed players with the ability to take players on in a one-v-one in wider areas. I thought both (Ramadan and Arnautovic) did well.
"It was an important win for us after the disappointment of last week and it was a difficult game against opposition who were always going to have a reaction from last week.
"We created some really good opportunities first half, but didn't take them and the longer it goes on you get a little anxious you won't get the breakthrough your play deserves, but thankfully it came.
"Joe had to check his stride and it's a good finish in the end to win the game."
