Stoke City boss Mark Hughes believes England haven't made the most of Peter Crouch.
Hughes reckons a string of England managers have missed out by ignoring Crouch, who won the last of his 42 caps in 2010.
"Pete's never closed the door and actually retired and is always available, but I think he probably thinks that ship has sailed," said Hughes.
“A succession of managers have come in and not picked him again, which is to their own detriment because his record at international level is outstanding.
“There would be nobody prouder than Peter if he ever got the call again, he'd be there like a shot.
“When he was there with Jermain it was a 'big one and little one' partnership.
“It was when it was still fashionable I think. It doesn't happen as often now."
