Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has been fined £8,000 by the FA for misconduct.
The Potters boss was sent to the stands during his side's 5-1 Boxing Day loss at Newcastle United after kicking the ball in anger when Glenn Whelan was sent off during the first half.
Hughes did not contest the misconduct charge and has managed to avoid a three-match ban leaving him free to oversee Stoke from the touchline in this weekend's third round FA Cup clash with Leicester City.
