Stoke boss Hughes confirms Liverpool talks for Assaidi

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes hopes to sign permanently Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi.

Hughes is delighted with the impact of Assaidi.

He told The Sentinel: "We like Ossie and ideally if we can come to an arrangement with Liverpool we would like to bring him here.

"He's a valuable player and Liverpool recognised that.

"At the moment there's been tentative inquiries, but nothing concrete yet.

"I think he's enjoyed his time here. It's helped him and Ossie has certainly helped us.

"He's close to a number of the players and got a good relationship with Marko Arnautovic.

"They make a nice couple!

"Those things are a help to players and that can help if you are trying to bring them to your club."
