Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has confirmed Jack Butland is in advanced talks over a loan move to Leeds United.
Hughes believes playing for such a high-profile club will benefit Butland for both club and country.
"We are hopeful that might be concluded," Hughes revealed. "If he can go there and get games, that helps his development.
"If he can go to Leeds, which is a big club with big expectations and a good fan base, he needs to play under that kind of pressure."
