Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has shrugged of talk of a move to Everton.

Hughes was reluctant to talk about Everton's interest ahead of Saturday's clash with Sunderland because he feels it is disrespectful to Roberto Martinez.

"It's just speculation and I don't encourage that," said Hughes, who enjoyed a brief spell at Everton in 2000.

"The talk about jobs, I've had that against me before I didn't like it so I wouldn't want to comment and encourage that sort of speculation against someone who is in the job already."
