Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is chasing West Ham United winger Matt Taylor.
The People says Taylor has been made available by Hammers boss Sam Allardyce and has attracted interest from several Championship clubs, including Reading.
But the 31-year-old is holding out for a loan or permanent deal at a top-flight club.
