Stoke City are ready to offer £7 million for Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas.
The Sunday Mirror says Potters boss Tony Pulis has identified the versatile midfielder as a priority signing as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
Former Nottingham Forest and Newcastle midfielder Jenas has fallen dramatically out of favour at Tottenham and would welcome a fresh challenge.
Jenas has won 21 England caps and was once a regular member of the international squad but was never in contention for a place in Fabio Capello's squad for South Africa.
But Stoke will have their work cut out securing his signature because other Premier League rivals are weighing up whether to make a bid, though Tottenham are keen to sell.
