Stoke City are chasing Birmingham City defender Liam Ridgewell.
The Daily Express says Potters boss Tony Pulis is ready to fight Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion in a £2 million battle for Ridgewell.
Stoke manager Pulis will move to offer Ridgewell a Premier League lifeline with a bid when the transfer window opens in January.
