Stoke City are attempting to close a deal for Rangers midfielder Jamie Ness.
The Daily Record says Ness spoke to Potters manager Tony Pulis earlier this week at the club's training ground and it is understood Stoke are hopeful of securing a deal with the player - who has yet to have his medical - in the next few days.
However, the move may be complicated by legal wranglings if newco chief executive Charles Green follows through his threat of court action.
