Stoke City have approached Blackburn Rovers for Martin Olsson.

The Sentinel says the 24-year-old, who can play at left-back or on the left wing, has made it clear he doesn't want to stay in the Championship following Blackburn's relegation.

Olsson has three-years left on his contract at Ewood Park and Rovers have already turned down a £1.5m bid from abroad for the Sweden international.

They are believed to rate Olsson at around £4m, but that figure is likely to discourage the Potters.
