Stoke City have announced their retained list - with Shay Given now released.

Fellow goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann is also heading out after failing to make his mark in senior circles at Stoke.

Stoke are also releasing under-23 squad players Liam Edwards, Harry Isted, Joel Taylor and George Waring.

But there are new contracts for Lewis Banks, Jack Devlin, Dominic Telford, Mark Waddington, Tom Edwards, Jake Dunwoody and Shola Ayoola.

The club has also confirmed that it is offering a short-term deal to Stephen Ireland to help with his rehabilitation from the broken leg he suffered 13 months ago.
