Stoke City are moving ahead of Swansea City in the race for Groningen striker Mimoun Mahi.
The Sun says Stoke are seeking a deal for the Morocco forward to the tune of £2million.
Swansea have also been to Holland to watch the 23-year-old, who scored 17 goals in Eredivisie last season.
Nottingham Forest are also in the hunt for Mahi and Bristol City are prepared to rekindle their interest after bidding for him in the summer.
Mahi has one full season left on his Groningen contract and the Dutch side must let him talk to clubs if they receive a £2m bid.
