Birmingham City have included a hefty sell-on clause in their deal with Stoke City for Jack Butland.

The Daily Star says Brum have a 20 per cent sell-on clause included in the deal which took Butland to Stoke.

Cash-strapped Blues will take a cut on any profit above the £3.5m the Potters paid for the goalkeeper on deadline day.

The Championship club eventually lowered their asking price to get the full fee up front to ease their immediate cash concerns.
