Everton defender Jordan Thorniley has joined Stockport County on-loan.

The 18-year-old defender will continue to train with Everton, but will go straight into the Hatters' squad for their trip to Macclesfield Town on Friday evening.

As part of the agreement, he will also be eligible for County's pre-season fixtures against Manchester United Under-21s and Connah's Quay Nomads.

Thorniley, who joined the Blues Academy aged 10, signed a one-year professional deal with the Club earlier this month.
