Liverpool must move quickly for FC Basel midfielder Valentin Stocker as his price continues to rise.

Stocker is only 21-years-old but already has six caps for Switzerland and is renowned for his ability to find the net from midfield.

He has already racked up 73 appearances for his club and could be snapped up for £5m by the Reds.

But Roy Hodgson faces competition from German sides Werder Bremen, Hamburg and Schalke for his services.
