Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari thinks the performance of youngster Miroslav Stoch on the weekend can pave the way for other youth squad players at the club.
The 19-year old Slovakian has played twice for the Blues first team and provided Frank Lampard with the winning goal against Stoke on the weekend, a performance Scolari was delighted with.
"That was fantastic," he told the club's official website.
"Miroslav did very well twice and crossed, we scored and it was good for us.
"It was good for the young players because the young players need an opportunity, but whoever gets the opportunity needs to prove themselves - not only for me, but for the people and the older players.
"Next week maybe the players will believe more in the younger players. There are good rewards and I will always give the young players an opportunity."
