Stimson named Gillingham manager

League One side Gillingham have appointed former Stevenage manager Mark Stimson as their new boss.

Stimson, 39, resigned from the Blue Square Premier club on October 17 and had also been linked with the vacancies at Port Vale and Millwall, but has now penned a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Kent club.
